  • What time do the races start?

    Our start times can change based on the need for a sun break at our venue, however track packing typically begins at around 4:30 with support division beginning their heats from 5pm and the Grand Opening typically between 5:45 and 6.00.

  • Is there parking and what is the cost?

    The Speedway car park caters for approximately 1000 vehicles. General Parking is free. Enter via Wirths Rd, Charlton.

  • Is there reserved seating?

    There are no reserved seats, although there is plenty of room in general admission including the Grandstand, a small back straight grandstand and grass hill areas to sit-on.

  • Where can I sit?

    A general admission ticket allows access to grandstand seating in the Grandstand, our back straight grandstand and on the grass hill areas on the back straight and turns one, two, three and four.

  • Can I bring food and drinks into the venue?

    Patrons may bring homemade food items to the venue such as baked goods, sandwiches and drinks of water, juice or cordial for personal consumption only. Products from external caterers and or suppliers are not permitted.

  • Can I bring an esky?

    Yes. However please note NO GLASS or ALCOHOL can be brought onto premises.

  • Can I bring in alcohol?

    NO. Toowoomba Speedway is a licensed premises and the bringing in of alcohol is prohibited. Alcohol is available for purchase.

  • How do I purchase tickets?

    Both General Admission and Pit Admission tickets are available online.

    via www.speedwaytickets.com. If tickets haven't sold out prior to the event, tickets will be sold at Gate 1 General Admission for race nights. General Admission is via the main carpark at the end of Wirths Rd. Our General Admission gate generally opens at 3pm however please check the event page of the event that you are attending. EFTPOS / credit card facilities are available at the gate to purchase your tickets. We can scan online tickets from your smart phone, so you do not need to print your online tickets out if you are able to show the barcode easily on your smart phone/device.

  • Can I hire a corporate box for the night?

    Absolutely! Please contact our office at [email protected] for all details relating to packages, pricing, etc.

  • What sort of merchandise is available to purchase?

    Come and see us inside Gate 1 (bottom or Turn 3) - next to the playground, where a variety of both Hi-Tec Oils Speedway, and USC merchandise is available for purchase.>

  • What food is available to purchase?

    We have 3 food and beverage outlets – Burke’s Burger Bar and The Buncle Family Canteen in the General Admission areas, and the Champions Café in the Pit area for racers and teams. All outlets serve hot food such as kebabs, hot chips, pies, hot dogs, hamburgers, cappuccinos and lattes, etc.

  • What is the rainout, cancellation or refund policy?

    A RAINOUT IS DEFINED AS FIVE (5) EVENTS OR LESS BEING SUCCESSFULLY DECLARED COMPLETED.

    In the event of a declared rainout, Hi-Tec Oils will honour rainchecks, but will not refund money. If you have pre-purchased tickets online, and we have to cancel the event prior to the commencement of racing, we will offer a refund or an exchange of tickets to another event. Your numbered ticket stub is your raincheck.

    Hold all original tickets. No replacements will be given for lost, or tampered tickets.

    Rainchecks will be honoured at any one (1) event (of equal or lesser value, not higher priced) at Hi-Tec Oils Speedway in the same racing season. Not transferable to future seasons.

    How to use a Rain Out ticket:

    • Choose an “equal or lesser priced” event, from our current season calendar.
    • Present your ticket to the cashier.
    • The cashier will check your numbered ticket stub for validity.
    • If valid, you will be provided with a new ticket.
  • Where is Toowoomba Speedway located?

    Toowoomba Speedway is located at 100 Wirths Rd, Charlton, Qld, 4350, just off the Warrego Hwy. Please see our location page for more information.

  • Is there public transport to the venue?

    There is no public transport to the venue.

  • What is the best time to arrive?

    On track action usually starts at 5pm so plan to arrive in time to find yourself a seat and get ready for the racing. Please check the event page for the event you plan on attending which will detail start times for the specific event.

  • Can I take photos/video?

    Photos can be taken for personal use only. Photos taken from Hi Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway may be displayed on the internet and/or distributed so long as there is no commercial charge involved. Filming of events at Hi Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway are prohibited.

    Commercial Use: Patrons that wish to take photos for commercial use must seek written approval from Hi Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway in advance. Patrons acknowledge that any film or moving pictures and any sound recording of any events at Hi Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway are prohibited and should not be displayed for any commercial use (Facebook is a commercial social media platform) in any public manner. A person cannot make or reproduce or use any film or other form of photograph, moving picture, still pictures or any sound recording of the events or any part of it for profit, gain, public advertisement, display or for any other purpose except for the private enjoyment of the person, without the consent of Made Too Go Pty Ltd. If a person makes or reproduces or uses photos of the event or any part of it with or without the consent of the Made Too Go Pty Ltd, that person must on request by Made Too Go Pty Ltd assign, in writing, all copyright, all intellectual property and any derived remuneration received from the photos to Made Too Go Pty Ltd.

  • Can I purchase a ticket to the pit area?

    Yes, you can. Our venue DOES NOT enfore the Speedway Australia One Day Pit Licence. It is strongly recommended (not compulsory) that all people entering the pits from the commencement of the race meeting have either Speedway Australia Licence OR a one-day Speedway Australia Licence as it provides you with complimentary personal accident insurance in the pit area. (Anyone over 12 years of age can purchase a one-day Speedway Australia Licence). The pit area is restricted to people aged 16 years or older WITH ID or must be 12 years or age with a Speedway Australia mechanics card. You must have covered footwear and not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol to enter the pit area. Junior competitors under 12 years of age with a Speedway Australia Licence can only enter the pits if competing in the same event. One day licence holders under 16 years of age, MUST show ID to enter the pits. There is only one price to enter the pits and this price includes General Admission. If you wish to purchase a One Day Pit Licence with complimentary Personal Accident Insurance at the gate manually on the day, you can do so at the Pit Box for $25 (on top of Pit Entry Price), alternatively, you can pre-purchase online via the Speedway Australia. Toowoomba Speedway holds Pit Walks at every race event, between 1pm and 3pm. Pit walks are only open to all pre-purchased online general admission holders including children (covered in footwear is compulsory). General Admission tickets are not available for purchase at the pit box on race days.

  • What is the Concession card policy?

    Concession ticket prices are available for Disability, Aged Pensioners and Veteran Affairs pension cards only. A valid government issued concession card must be presented at the entry gates when purchasing your tickets. One concession ticket will be available per concession card holder. Companion Cards are recognised at Toowoomba Speedway events. On presentation of the Companion Card when caring for a disability card holder, a free ticket will be offered to the Companion Card holder. Patrons are advised to visit: www.companioncard.org.au for more information on companion cards. For online purchases, just purchase the disability ticket for the client only. On entry to the venue, your Companion card will be accepted as your complimentary carer's ticket.

  • What size is the pole line?

    The pole line is approx. 375m

  • Do you accept Companion Cards?

    Companion Cards are recognised at Toowoomba Speedway events. On presentation of the Companion Card when caring for a disability card holder, a free ticket will be offered to the Companion Card holder. If the disability card holder’s admission price is free (eg. Children aged 12 and under), the Companion Card holder will pay for a Pensioner priced ticket. Patrons are advised to visit: www.companioncard.org.au for more information on companion cards. For online purchases, just purchase the disability ticket for the client only. On entry to the venue, your Companion card will be accepted as your complimentary carer's ticket.

  • Do you have to print online tickets?

    We can scan online tickets from your smart phone, so you do not need to print your online tickets out if you are able to show the barcode easily on your smart phone/device.

  • Is camping available?

    Yes, our venue has 24/7 CCTV so competitors can camp inside the pits (free of charge) providing they are camping in their transporter / trailer that is used to tow the vehicle. Everyone else (spectators included) can camp outside the pit area in the camping section located in the carpark on the Toowoomba side (turn 1/2). All camping should be considered 'Off-grid' as there is no power or water to hook into. The water at the venue is all bore water and not suitable to drink or run through caravans / campers. Hot showers are located in the pit toilet block underneath the canteen on the main straight. No responsibility will be taken by Toowoomba Speedway if you or your equipment is harmed in anyway while camping at the track. Campers stay at their own risk. Please make sure your belongings are locked up at all times. Please be mindful of our neighbours and others staying at the track, so keep music and loud noises to a minimum after midnight.

  • Do you have printed event programs for sale?

    Yes, only a small limited number of hard copy printed programs are for sale at our events. This is because we offer a free online version that you can download on your smart device or print out at home prior to coming. Event programs at the track are available for sale at the Main Ticket Box (turn 3) for $5. The free online program can be found under the Event Info drop down menu of this website.
