Let�s face it, we�ve all grown up either playing with, or feeling envious of kids who had, a TONKA truck.

The original concept of the now legendary die-cast metal truck and toy range began with humble beginnings back in 1946 in Minnesota USA but now almost 70 years on it�s entrenched in the memories of generations of kids throughout the world.
And Aussie kids are no different.

Speedway fans in Sydney last year got a tantalising taste of the TONKA phenomenon when an enormous, inflatable and (importantly) transportable Giant TONKA made an appearance at Valvoline Raceway and the great news is that Toowoomba kids will soon get up close and personal with the massive monster too.

Just last Saturday at the Giants vs Sydney Swans AFL match in front of almost 20,000 fans the giant TONKA inflatable �photobombed� nearly every goal attempt or replay on the Channel Seven coverage as it loomed up over the Speedway display in front of it.

Saturday night September 19 and Saturday night September 26 the TONKA will be on display for the ultimate Speedway selfie at Hi Tec Oils Speedway Toowoomba.

�The kids will love this,� says Hi Tec Oils Speedway Toowoomba Manager Ben Bishop, �it was a huge hit with the AFL fans over the weekend and I can�t wait to get it up here so Toowoomba kids can get amongst it.�
